Curelator Inc. is a digital health company that specializes in helping people find personalized treatments for chronic diseases.
The flagship product is N1-Headache, a platform that uses a combination of data from patient-reported symptoms, lifestyle information, and other medical records to create an individualized treatment plan. The platform also provides educational content, support services, and more to help people better manage their headaches.

One of the most relevant features is the Medication Use Status (MOH); the system analyses all the medication intake of each patient and sends alerts to inform both, patients and clinicians, about the medication use and potential overuse.
A clinical study to have a better control of the use of medications, is currently being carried out in 52 German hospitals, promoted by the German government itself.

The design team: core contributors to the company
The design team has been a major contributor to the success of the company. Always fully involved in each project from the beginning.
Analytical visualizations, clinical study results, iOS and Android apps, clinician dashboards and several versions of the commercial website, have all been designed and developed in-house.
Every project has been approached with precision and attention to detail. The design team has been a major asset to the company, bringing our unique skill set to the table. Our experience and expertise in design and user experience has been an invaluable resource to successfully achieve our goals.

For the last 10 years, Curelator Inc. has been a pioneer in the field of migraine-data analysis and clinical research. All products are backed by extensive data analysis and clinical research, providing our customers with the utmost quality and reliability.
Based on the CEO requirements, to add value to the project, everything the company does should be unique, useful and protectable. From the beginning, we have developed innovative products that have been patented and trademarked.
Below a timeline where you can see some of the tools and products we developed during these 10 years. In red, my responsibilities in each moment.

The UX/UI process has been essential for designing our digital products successfully. As responsible for this field, it has been my labour to create, mentor and supervise the processes and all the documentation inside the design team and in collaboration with other teams.
The processes can be explained in 3 different stages:
1. It starts by emphasizing with all different targets and the company goals to outline the product requirements. This process helps the design team to gain an understanding of the users and their needs.
2. Once the CRO's are approved by the CAB team, and the Project Manager with the Technical Lead and the Design Lead defined the roadmap; the design team starts conducting research, creating site maps, wireframes, mood boards, mock-ups and everything that is necessary to start designing.
3. After stage 2 approval, the design team starts designing prototypes, conducting usability tests, and finally helping with the verification and validation plan to make sure that all designs are well implemented.
With all these steps, the design team can ensure that the product meets the needs of all different users, is functional, easy to use and consistent with the corporate guidelines.
